Terms & Conditions – Douglas Gallert Hair

Welcome to Douglas Gallert Hair, a professional hairdressing service based in London. By booking an appointment with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are designed to protect both the client and the stylist, ensuring clarity, fairness, and a high standard of service.

2. Opening Hours

  • Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    (Closed Monday to Wednesday)

3. Booking & Deposit Policy

To secure your appointment, we require a 30% deposit at the time of booking. This deposit will be deducted from your final bill.

Please note:

Deposits are non-refundable, except in cases where cancellation meets the criteria below (see Section 5).

Appointments are confirmed only after the deposit has been received. We reserve the right to release unconfirmed slots.

4. Pricing Adjustments

All prices listed are subject to change based on hair type, length, and service complexity.

A surcharge or discount may be applied if the selected service does not align with your actual hair type or condition.

All adjustments will be clearly explained prior to the start of any service.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes to your appointment. Cancellations or reschedules within this window may be eligible for a refund of the deposit, but only at the discretion of Douglas Gallert and with valid justification.

If you fail to cancel or reschedule within 24 hours or do not show up, the full deposit will be forfeited.

6. No-Show & Late Arrival Policy

  • No-Shows: Failure to attend your appointment without prior notice will result in a charge of 100% of the service value, and you may be required to prepay in full for future bookings.

  • Late Arrivals: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may be shortened or cancelled entirely at our discretion, and the deposit will not be refunded.

7. Patch Tests

For all chemical services (including hair colour, bleach, or other treatments), a patch test is mandatory at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.

Failure to attend a required patch test will result in cancellation of your service and loss of deposit.

8. Medical Conditions & Contraindications

Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, skin sensitivities, or current medications that may affect your treatment. We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe the treatment could pose a health risk.

9. Age Restrictions

We do not provide chemical services (such as colour or relaxers) to clients under the age of 16. Valid ID may be required.

10. Code of Conduct & Right to Refuse

Douglas Gallert Hair maintains a respectful and professional environment. We reserve the right to refuse service to:

  • Clients who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • Clients who are verbally or physically abusive, disrespectful, or disruptive

  • Anyone who fails to comply with salon hygiene or safety standards

11. Liability & Satisfaction

We aim to provide a high level of service and customer satisfaction. However, we are not liable for any adverse reactions if the client has withheld relevant medical or product sensitivity information.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your service, please contact us within 48 hours to discuss adjustments. After this period, we may not be able to accommodate modifications.

12. Amendments to Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically. Please review them regularly prior to booking. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
